Vintage Huipil Top - Chajul

$89.00

Handmade in Chajul, El Quiche, Guatemala, this top will add a geometric and flashy style to your wardrobe. Wear it with denim or linen pants for a casual picnic day in the sun, or spice it up with a skirt and boots for a fun night out on the town! Either way you wear it, heads will turn towards your boho-stylish self.

This pre-loved top was hand-woven on a back-strap loom with "Aleman" cotton in a Black color base. This type of top is one of our most popular garments because of how soft and cool the hand-woven fabric feels.

Iconography: This stunning top has a woven-embroidered design of various birds and Horses. In some Mayan villages, the horse can represent strength, power, and speed. It can symbolize nobility, leadership, and the ability to navigate different terrains. Horses may also be associated with the spirit world and journeys between realms. Great piece to add to your ethical wardrobe!
