Experience the rare beauty of our authentic Mayan Huipil tops from Chajul, Quiché, Guatemala. Handwoven on a traditional back-strap loom with 100% cotton, this vintage piece showcases a Ruby Red base, free from dyes. Directly sourced from skilled weavers in the remote village of Chajul, each top embodies heritage and artistry.
The soft, cotton fabric is a favorite among our collection. The top's woven-embroidered design features a stoic Eagle. In Nahual Mayan culture, the eagle symbolizes strength, vision, and power. It is revered as a messenger between the earthly and spiritual realms, representing the ability to see the bigger picture and rise above challenges. The eagle's keen sight and majestic flight embody clarity of thought and leadership. It is often associated with protection and the warrior spirit, guiding individuals to harness their inner strength. A meaningful addition to your ethical wardrobe!
